It’s hard to rival the opportunities for personal and intellectual growth offered by the college experience – newfound independence, intellectual stimulation, meeting people from different geographic areas, and discovering lifelong passions with new friends.
So if you or someone you know is ready to explore the options available through college, a perfect event is coming up. The 32nd Annual Anchorage College and Career Fair is the place to be on Sunday, October 20 and Monday, October 21. Participants will meet representatives from approximately 160 colleges and universities from Alaska, as well as schools from Oregon, California, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, Washington, Utah, and even Hawaii!
Look for hour-long breakout workshops on Sunday, with topics like “Financial Aid (How to Get Started),” “Scholarships (How to Find Them),” and “College Admissions Process.”
Are you a returning student or an older adult considering a career change? This event offers something for you as well, as organizers have specifically tailored their message of inclusion and opportunity for those over nineteen years old.
This event is free to parents and students. It takes place at the William A. Egan Civic and Convention Center (555 W. 5th Avenue) in Anchorage. The fair is open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Registration is not necessary for participants.
