Christopher Canterbury
Christopher Canterbury has been practicing law for more than 20 years. He focuses on torts and commercial litigation and is licensed to practice in Alaska and Washington. Prior to joining Kelley & Canterbury LLC in 2000, Chris clerked for U.S. District Court Judge James Singleton.
Chris received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Hamilton College in central New York and his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law in New York City.
Chris is a member of the Valley Bar Association, Alaska Bar Association, and Alaska Association for Justice (formerly The Alaska Association of Trial Lawyers).
Chris is passionate not only about practicing law but also connecting with and improving the Alaska community. Chris is a past board member for FOCUS, Inc., which serves children with special needs in the Chugiak / Eagle River community. He has also volunteered for both the Anchorage and Mat-Su Youth Court programs. In addition, he volunteers his time on the board of the Mustang Hockey Association, coaching baseball for Knik Little League and hockey for the Mustang Hockey Association.
When not working, Chris enjoys playing hockey, working on the family’s log cabin home in Eagle River, and spending time with his wife, Michaela, and their kids.
